ABB pilot lamps: CL2 series LED indicators

The ABB CL2 series is the 22.5 mm LED pilot lamp that fits the same panel cut-out as the CP1 pushbuttons. The middle number is the supply voltage: CL2-502 is 24 V AC/DC, CL2-515 is 110 to 130 V AC and CL2-523 is 230 V AC. The last letter is the lens colour: R red, G green, Y yellow, B blue, C clear. So CL2-523R is a 230 V red pilot lamp and CL2-502G is a 24 V green one. LED lamps replace the older filament CL-100 types with the same footprint and no bulb changes.

How to read an ABB pushbutton part number

CP1-10R-10 breaks down as CP1 = momentary pushbutton (CP2 is latching), 10 = flush black bezel, R = red button, and the last two digits are the contacts: 10 = one normally open, 01 = one normally closed, 11 = one NO plus one NC. Emergency stops follow the same logic: CE4T-10R-02 is a 40 mm twist-release mushroom head, red, with two NC contacts. Selector switches such as C2SS2-10B-20 are two position, black, with two NO contacts, and the MP1 series are operator heads for the modular system where the contact blocks (MCB-10, MCB-01) and holders (MCBH-00) are ordered separately.
