GS series short-body disc coupling with an anodised aluminium alloy hub set and 304 stainless steel diaphragms, clamped on the shaft with screw clamp hubs. It gives the same zero backlash and torsional stiffness as the longer GL series in a noticeably shorter overall length, which is what you need when the gap between the motor shaft and the screw end is tight. Fifteen sizes, outer diameters 12 to 82 mm, bores 3 to 42 mm.

How to order
Couplings are quoted per order, with no price shown on the site. Send us the series GS, the outer diameter and length you need, and the two bore diameters, for example GS-32X28 with 8 mm and 10 mm bores. If you do not know which size fits, send the motor shaft diameter, the driven shaft diameter, the torque and the space available between the two shafts, and our engineers select it for you. RendatSP ships to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen, Algeria, Jordan and Syria.
Frequently asked questions
How is the GS different from the GL series?
Both are aluminium disc couplings with stainless diaphragms and clamp hubs, in the same outer diameters. The GS body is shorter, so it fits where the gap between the two shaft ends is small. The longer GL body gives more flexibility for misalignment. If space allows, the longer version is easier on the bearings.
Does a shorter coupling take less misalignment?
Yes. Misalignment capacity comes from how far the diaphragms can flex over the length of the coupling, so a short body tolerates less parallel offset. Align the shafts carefully when you use a short coupling, or choose the longer version.
Can it run in both directions and reverse often?
Yes. There is no elastomer to wear and the clamp hubs do not loosen the way set screws can, so reversing servo duty is exactly what this coupling is made for.
Do you supply it with a keyway?
Keyway machining is available as an extra operation on request. Most installations use plain shafts, because the clamp hub does not need a key.
What torque does each size carry?
Torque rises with the outer diameter. Send us the size you are considering with the motor torque and we confirm the rated and peak values before you order.
