GLTS Stepped Disc Coupling, Aluminium, Flange Fixing

Contact for price

GLTS series stepped disc coupling with an anodised aluminium body, 304 stainless steel diaphragms and flange type fixing, where the hub is bolted rather than squeezed onto the shaft. The stepped body puts the diaphragm packs at different diameters, which keeps the coupling short while preserving torsional stiffness. Zero backlash, no wearing parts. Seven sizes, outer diameters 34 to 82 mm, bores 6 to 45 mm.

How to order

Couplings are quoted per order, with no price shown on the site. Send us the series GLTS, the outer diameter and length you need, and the two bore diameters, for example GLTS-44X50.2 with 14 mm and 19 mm bores. If you do not know which size fits, send the motor shaft diameter, the driven shaft diameter, the torque and the space available between the two shafts, and our engineers select it for you. RendatSP ships to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen, Algeria, Jordan and Syria.

Frequently asked questions

What does the stepped construction do?

It places the two diaphragm packs on different diameters so the coupling can be made shorter without losing stiffness or misalignment capacity. It matters when the distance between the motor face and the screw end is fixed and short.

What is flange fixing and when is it used?

The hub is bolted through a flange rather than clamped around the shaft. It suits builds where the mating part already has a bolt pattern, and it makes assembly and removal repeatable without disturbing the shaft fit.

Does it have backlash?

No. Torque passes through stainless diaphragms that are bolted, not through any sliding or elastic element, so the connection is rigid in rotation from new and stays that way.

How do I install it without damaging the diaphragms?

Support the coupling while you align the flanges, do not use the bolts to pull the assembly together, and tighten in a cross pattern to the specified torque. Any axial force applied carelessly goes straight through the thin stainless discs.

Which size do I need?

Choose the size whose bore range covers both shafts and whose length fits the gap, then confirm the torque. Send us the shaft diameters, the drive torque and the space and we will select it.
