GIG series beam coupling cut from a single piece of polished 304 stainless steel with parallel slit grooves and set screw hubs. It is the set screw version of the clamp-type GICG, chosen where the drive runs mainly in one direction and where a simpler, lower cost fixing is acceptable. Stainless construction handles washdown, humidity and corrosive atmospheres and carries more torque than aluminium of the same size. Twenty sizes, outer diameters 12 to 63 mm, bores 3 to 35 mm.

How to order
Couplings are quoted per order, with no price shown on the site. Send us the series GIG, the outer diameter and length you need, and the two bore diameters, for example GIG-25X31 with 8 mm and 12 mm bores. If you do not know which size fits, send the motor shaft diameter, the driven shaft diameter, the torque and the space available between the two shafts, and our engineers select it for you. RendatSP ships to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen, Algeria, Jordan and Syria.
Frequently asked questions
Set screw or clamp hub?
A set screw is simpler and cheaper and holds well in one direction of rotation. A clamp hub grips all the way round, does not mark the shaft and does not loosen under constant reversing. For a reversing servo axis take the clamp version, GICG; for a steady unidirectional drive the GIG is fine.
Will the set screw mark the shaft?
Yes, it leaves a small indentation where it seats. That is normal and it actually improves the grip once seated, but it means the hub should be refitted in the same place. If the shaft must stay unmarked, use the clamp version.
Why stainless rather than aluminium?
Corrosion resistance and strength. Stainless survives washdown chemicals, steam and humid air, and it carries more torque in the same outer diameter. Aluminium is chosen when inertia matters more than either.
Can it be autoclaved or steam cleaned?
The material handles it, since 304 stainless with a polished finish is standard in food and pharmaceutical machinery. Confirm the working temperature with us if the process runs continuously hot.
How do I pick between the two lengths at the same diameter?
The longer body takes more misalignment and loads the bearings less. Use it when the gap between shaft ends allows, and the short body where space is tight and alignment is good.
