GFC series jaw coupling with anodised aluminium alloy hubs and an imported polyurethane spider. The hubs clamp on the shaft with screws rather than set screws, so the shaft is not marked and the coupling can be removed and refitted. The spider damps shock and vibration, isolates the two shafts electrically and takes up angular, parallel and axial misalignment. Twenty-two sizes, outer diameters 14 to 120 mm, bores 4 to 65 mm.

How to order
Couplings are quoted per order, with no price shown on the site. Send us the series GFC, the outer diameter and length you need, and the two bore diameters, for example GFC-40X55 with 14 mm and 19 mm bores. If you do not know which size fits, send the motor shaft diameter, the driven shaft diameter, the torque and the space available between the two shafts, and our engineers select it for you. RendatSP ships to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen, Algeria, Jordan and Syria.
Frequently asked questions
When should I choose a jaw coupling instead of a disc coupling?
Choose a jaw coupling when the drive has shock loads, vibration or a reversing load that you want to soften, and when perfect positioning accuracy is not the priority. The polyurethane spider absorbs those loads and protects the motor bearings. For a servo axis that must hold position exactly, a disc or bellows coupling is better because it has no elastomer to wind up.
What happens if the spider wears out?
The coupling loses torque capacity and starts to backlash, and eventually the drive stops transmitting torque. The spider is the sacrificial part by design, which protects the motor and the driven machine. Spiders are replaced without removing the hubs from the shafts, and we supply them separately.
Which spider hardness should I take?
A harder spider gives more torque and more torsional stiffness with less damping; a softer one damps more but winds up further. Tell us the application, for example a servo ball screw or a pump drive, and we supply the right hardness.
Are the hubs interchangeable with other brands?
Dimensionally this is the common industry jaw coupling geometry, but do not mix hubs and spiders between brands. Order the complete coupling, or order the spider that matches the hub size you already have.
Can I get a keyway machined?
Yes, keyway machining is available as an extra operation. Tell us the bore diameter and the keyway standard when you request the quotation.
