With a 110 V AC 50/60 Hz coil and an AC-3 rating of 40 A, the Schneider LC1D40AF7 is the TeSys Deca contactor for motors up to 18.5 kW at 400 V. It carries 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contacts as standard. At 220/230 V the AC-3 motor rating is 11 kW.
The contactor switches the motor or load on command from the PLC, a push-button or a timer. Burnt or pitted contacts, coil noise and failure to close are the usual signs that it needs to be replaced.

Compatibility and replacement
Pairs with the TeSys LRD thermal overload relay (direct mounting) and the GV2 motor circuit breaker. Add-on blocks such as LADN11 (1NO+1NC) or LADN22 (2NO+2NC) fit on the front. LC1D contactors from older TeSys D production are replaced one-to-one by TeSys Deca of the same reference.
