The Mitsubishi Electric FX5U-80MR/ES is a MELSEC iQ-F series FX5U PLC CPU unit with 80 built-in I/O: 40 digital inputs (24 V DC, sink/source) and 40 relay outputs. It runs on a 100-240 V AC supply and has a built-in Ethernet port (RJ45) and RS-485, with 64K steps of program memory and an SD/SDHC card slot.

Compatibility and replacement
The FX5U is programmed with GX Works3. Programs from FX3U/FX2N can be converted in GX Works3, but they should be checked before use. Choose the MT (transistor) version for fast pulse outputs to servo or stepper drives; relay outputs suit contactors, valves and lamps.
