GHCS series miniature Oldham coupling with anodised aluminium clamp hubs and a PA66 nylon centre disc. PA66 is harder and more dimensionally stable than polyurethane, so this version keeps less backlash and transmits torque more crisply, at the cost of some damping. Couplings are quoted per order, with no price shown on the site. Send us the series GHCS, the outer diameter and length you need, and the two bore diameters, for example GHCS-25X27.2 with 8 mm and 10 mm bores. If you do not know which size fits, send the motor shaft diameter, the driven shaft diameter, the torque and the space available between the two shafts, and our engineers select it for you. Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n

PA66 disc or polyurethane disc, which is better?<\/h3>\n

PA66 nylon is harder, so it holds tighter tolerances, gives less lost motion and transmits torque more directly. Polyurethane is softer and damps vibration better but allows more wind-up. For positioning axes take the PA66 version, which is what the GHCS series uses.<\/p>\n

How much parallel offset can it take?<\/h3>\n

Much more than a disc or beam coupling of the same size, because the centre disc slides in its slots. Exact limits depend on the size, so tell us the offset you actually have and we confirm it is within range.<\/p>\n

Does the disc need lubrication?<\/h3>\n

No. PA66 runs dry against the aluminium slots. Do not oil it, because oil collects dust and grinds the slot faces.<\/p>\n

Is it suitable for high speed?<\/h3>\n

Oldham couplings are best at moderate speeds, because the sliding disc generates heat and wear as the offset and speed rise. If you need high speed with offset, tell us the rpm and we will advise whether an Oldham is the right choice.<\/p>\n

Can I replace only the centre disc?<\/h3>\n
