The Siemens 6ES7288-5AE01-0AA0 is an SB AE01 signal board that adds a single analog input to an S7-200 SMART CPU without using an expansion slot.<\/p>\n

It is the neat answer to the machine that needs exactly one analog measurement – one pressure transmitter, one level sensor, one potentiometer – where fitting a four-channel EM module would waste both money and rail space.<\/p>\n

A signal board plugs into the recess in the front face of the CPU, so it adds function without adding a single millimetre to the width of the controller. Every expandable S7-200 SMART CPU takes exactly one signal board, and it can be fitted alongside the six EM expansion modules.<\/p>\n
