The Siemens 6ES7288-1SR40-0AA2 is a SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU SR40 with 24 digital inputs and 16 digital relay outputs on board. It is the AC\/DC\/Relay version: the CPU is powered from the 85-264 V AC line, the inputs are 24 V DC and the outputs are dry relay contacts rated 2 A, so it drives contactors, solenoid valves, lamps and small motors directly without interposing relays.<\/p>\n

This is the V3.0 hardware, recognisable by its two Ethernet ports with an integrated switch, so the CPU can be daisy-chained to a panel and on to the next station without an external switch.
