Compatibility and replacement
This G120C has PROFINET, EtherNet/IP on board; other G120C versions exist for USS/Modbus RTU and PROFIBUS, so check the fieldbus on the old drive. Operator panels BOP-2 (6SL3255-0AA00-4CA1) and IOP-2 (6SL3255-0AA00-4JA2) fit the G120C and are ordered separately.
What to check first
- Check ventilation and cabinet temperature: drives derate or trip when the cabinet is too hot.
- Save or write down the parameters of the old drive if it still powers up; an operator panel can copy them.
