The Siemens 6AV6648-0EC11-3AX0 is a SIMATIC HMI Smart 700 IE V5 touch panel – the current 7 inch member of the SMART LINE family, with an 800 x 480 widescreen TFT display, 16 million colours and 350 cd/m2 brightness.
V5 is a real step up from V4: a dual-core processor for faster screen changes, a micro SD card slot, a real-time clock that holds its time for up to three years without power, and the option to mount the panel in portrait as well as landscape orientation. It can also be extended with the Siemens Wi-Fi or 4G module for remote access and cloud data over MQTT or SIMICAS IoT.
It is configured with WinCC flexible SMART V5, which opens SMART LINE V4 projects directly, and it connects to an S7-200 SMART CPU over Ethernet or RS485 with encrypted communication to S7-200 SMART V3 controllers.
