The Airtac TN10X60S is a double-acting twin-rod cylinder from the AirTAC TN series with a 10 mm bore and 60 mm stroke. Two 6 mm piston rods drive a common front plate, which gives good resistance to bending and twisting moments in a body that mounts flush from four directions.
Reading the code: TN = twin-rod cylinder (double acting), 10×60 = bore x stroke in mm, S = with magnet (the TN series is only made with a magnet). A bumper in front of the barrel lets you trim the stroke by up to 5 mm and softens the end impact.

Typical applications
- Test-probe and sensor positioning
- Compact pushers and stoppers where the rod must not rotate
- Labeling, marking and printing heads
- Sorting gates on small conveyors
- Like-for-like replacement of an Airtac TN10X60S
Compatibility and replacement
TN is an AirTAC enterprise-standard design. AirTAC also builds the TR twin-rod series to JIS dimensions, so a TR or another brand’s twin-rod cylinder is not automatically a drop-in replacement: check the mounting-hole pattern and plate dimensions. For a like-for-like swap order the same TN bore and stroke shown on the old label.
Frequently asked questions
How much force does it give?
Per the AirTAC thrust table, the TN10 pushes 78.6 N and pulls 50.3 N at 0.5 MPa (two pistons working together). Allow a safety margin for friction and dynamic loads.
Can I fine-tune the stroke?
Yes. The front bumper can be adjusted to shorten the stroke by 0 to 5 mm, which also cushions the end of travel.
Which fittings do I need?
The ports are M5x0.8 with standard PT thread; G or NPT threads are a separate order code. Use push-in or speed-control fittings of the same thread and tube size suited to the flow.
