The Airtac SC50X150 is a double-acting tie-rod standard cylinder from the AirTAC SC series with a 50 mm bore, 150 mm stroke and adjustable air cushions at both ends. It is the version without a piston magnet (no S in the code), basic mounting and standard TPU seals.
Reading the code: SC = standard cylinder (double acting), 50×150 = bore x stroke in mm; no S = without magnet; no mounting, seal or thread suffix means basic mounting, TPU seals and PT port thread.

Compatibility and replacement
Per AirTAC, an SC cylinder is shorter than an ISO 15552 cylinder of the same bore, so it is not a dimensional drop-in for ISO 15552 cylinders from other makers. It does accept AirTAC SC/SAU-series mounting accessories (LB foot, FA/FB flange, CA/CB clevis, TC trunnion) and rod-end joints. If you need position sensing, order the magnet version SC50X150S and AirTAC CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches.
Frequently asked questions
How much force does it give?
At 0.5 MPa the 50 mm bore gives about 981.7 N pushing and 824.7 N pulling with its 20 mm rod. At the 1.0 MPa maximum the push force doubles to about 1,963.5 N.
Which fittings do I need?
The ports are 1/4″ with standard PT thread; G or NPT threads are a separate order code. Use push-in or speed-control fittings of the same thread and tube size suited to the flow.
How do I set the cushion?
Turn the cushion needle screws on the front and rear covers. The cushion acts over the last 21 mm of stroke; adjust until the piston decelerates smoothly at the end of stroke without striking the cover.
