Covering motor currents of 35 … 45 A, the Siemens 3RV2032-4VA10 is a 3-pole SIRIUS 3RV2 motor protection circuit breaker, size S2, CLASS 10, with an instantaneous short-circuit release of 650 A. Per Siemens it suits motors of about 22 kW at 400 V and has a rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) of 100 kA at 400 V.
A motor starter protector combines three functions in one device: short-circuit protection, overload protection with phase-failure sensitivity, and manual on/off isolation with a rotary handle. Together with a contactor it forms a complete fuseless motor starter.
